- Make it a game! Who has the fastest shower gets a tiny reward in the form of candy or 5 mins more of TV time.
- Ask the kids to turn off the faucet while brushing as it saves gallons of water long term.
- Encourage Showers over Tub Baths, leaving baths just for special occasions.
- Reuse towels for a few days in a row. One Less Load of Laundry = 30-40 gallons Water Conservation.
- Wash fruits and veggies in a bowl of water than a running tap. Later, use the water in the bowl to water the plants.
- Train the kids to avoid filling water in a glass right up to the brim to avoid accidental spilling as well as less wastage since kids can rarely drink an entire glass of water.
- Train kids to identify and report any leaky faucets or taps immediately so an adult can fix it immediately.
- Awareness is everything. Use the help of videos and fun, interactive resources on the internet to educate children on the importance of water conservation.
