In the summer, when the temperature is high, children want to have a cold drink with their meals. That drink usually makes them eat less because they fill their stomach with it!
That, you might think that it’s a good thing against obesity, but it’s not a good thing at all when this drink is a sugary drink!
When your kids consume sugary drinks with their meal, it turns out to be bad for their health because these drinks contain lots of calories, sugar etc.
Furthermore, when children feed their appetite with liquids, they are going to be hungry soon and there’s a high possibly they, now, consume some kind of a snack!
What’s the nudge in that case, you ask?
The answer is to find a substitute for these drinks, and in that case it’s water!
We provide you with 3 possible nudges:

Invest in a water bottle that children will use and keep it close for frequent use! Make sure to be colorful, attractive and funny!
- Use a straw! Children tend to drink faster and more of what they drink when they use a straw!
- Infuse your water with fruits, vegetables, or herbs.
